Choosing a finish
Matt, silk, eggshell or gloss: which paint finish suits which room.
The finish you choose changes how a room looks and how well the paint wears. Matt hides imperfections and suits living rooms and bedrooms, but it marks more easily.
Silk and eggshell are tougher and easier to wipe clean, which makes them a good choice for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways. Gloss is the most durable and best kept for woodwork, doors and trim.
